Hemp Outlet Proximity: A visual analysis of potential hemp outlets within 500 feet of schools in Ohio. Potential sales locations were scraped from the Google Places API and then filtered semi-automatically using a combination of calls to the OpenAI API and some manual spot-checking. School locations and property perimeters were scraped from Ohio state school geodata resources. The map was built using leaflet, and polygons were drawn around locations that were suspiciously close to schools by calculating a new polygon showing the boundary 500ft from the school's property line.
Map of Speech Accents: This project was built using data provided by George Mason University's Speech Accent Archive. Each subject recorded the same paragraph of text containing a wide variety of English language sounds. The Map shows pins for each of those samples in the subjects' respective birth locations.
